The only other building activity in the bojtough is the construction of four large glasshouses for Mr W. Walker. When completed this will form the largest area under glass held by one individual in Central Otago. It is the intention of Mr Walker to grow tomatoes for early market, and also grape vines. It has been proved that grapes under glass do particularly well in Alexandra. ; FAT LAMBS. During the past week heavy consignments of fat lambs have gone forward to the various freezing works from all stations in Central Otago. The approach of the closing of the works and the increase in prices have no doubt made the farmers dispose of their surplus-stock. TNTEESCHOpL GAMES. Teams of hockey girls and footballers travelled from Roxburgh to Alexandra yesterday, but the Alexandra boys and girls proved superior, winning the football by 3 points to nil and the hockey by 7 goals to 1.
