"HAPPY-GO-LUCKY O’FLYNN"
To-morrow night the Ronald { Riley season of “Happy-Go-Lucky O’Flynn will commence at His Majesty’s Theatre. Barry Conners, author of the play, did not start out with the object of discussing vital issues, but has bent his efforts towards the fabrication of a good, interesting story, with the leading motive of the young man in love and opposed. Larrv O’Flynn, enamoured of a sweet girl;' is opposed op fou/ sides by an obdurate father and mother, a stubborn uncle, who wants him to take up politics, and a .'well-to-do rival suitor. What can he do? Diplomacy is his strong point, and he exercises it upon the opposing forces with 'amusing results. Mr Riley has a quiet, unforced method, and a keen sense of comedy values which helps mm to sink himself into the character of this lovable scapegrace. Doreen Scott, as the young lady in the case, uses her feminine charm to great effect. Mane D’Alton, Joseph Lahphier, and J. Vincent' White fill the roles of the parent* and the uncle. Bernard Beeby is Charley Daly, the cautious lover who counted future contingenciea and lost. Stanley Brodgen and Charles M'Callum complete the cast. Musical in whish Zara, possessor of a melodious soprano voice, will be heard in popular numbers, will be s feature of the performance. The box plans areat the Bristol.
