POSITION DECIDED TO RESIDE ABROAD. BUCHAREST,, June 11. (Received June 11, at 8 J>.m.) The position of Queen Helena appears to have been decided. It, is stated that she will reside permanently abroad, but is entitled to pay three visits every year to Prince Michael. KING CAROL’S PARAMOUR. SECRET ACCESS TO /PALACE.. j ■ LONDON, June 5. A secret road and bridge leading to a side door in the palace at Bucharest enables Madame Lupescu, the red-haired beauty of King Carol’s heart, to keep in close touch with him, according to the Bucharest correspondent of the Star. She is regarded as the actual power behind the throne. Queen Helena, states the correspondent, has been virtually a prisoner for months. Deprived of her final hope of taking her son, Prince Michael, with her, she hast left Bucharest to face a lonely exile. Her income will be £SOO a year. At first she will Stay with her mother, the former Queen of Greece, in Italy, after which she will settle in England.
