SUBSIDISING OPERA
MOVEMENT IN BRITAIN AGREEMENT ARRIVED AT. ' (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 8. (Received June 9, at 5.5 p.m.) Provisions for subsidising opera are contained in an agreement between the British Broadcasting Corporation and a Covent Garden syndicate, the terms of which have now been completed. The Postmaster-general (Professor H. B. LeesSmith) stated in the House of Commons that' the: terms of the agreement would be laid before Parliament as soon as possible.
