DON’T NEGLECT A COMMON CASE OP PILES. IT MAY LEAD TO SERIOUS RESULTS. When people, generally, understand that all such fatal diseases as Fistula, Ulcer of the Rectum, Fissure, etc., almost invariably begin in a simple case of Piles, they will learn the wisdom of taking prompt treatment for the first appearance of this trouble. Doan’s Ointment is unequalled for every form of piles—bleeding, itching, protruding, and blind piles, and hundreds of lives have been saved by using this cheap but effective remedy right at the start, because at such times a single pot has often effected a cure, while in the old, deepseated, chronic cases, several pofe are sometimes necessary. Here is a case: — Mrs M. Brown, “ Toronto,” Lyons road, Five Dock, Sydney, says: “Three years ago I used Doan’s Ointment for a bad attack of Piles, and I am pleased to tell you it completely cured me. Previous to trying this ointment 1 used all kinds of remedies, but they gave me little or no relief. I was suffering terribly when I first applied Doan’s Ointment, and had little hope of it doing me any good, but its soothing and healing effects were noticeable almost at once, and by the time I had used one pot I was cured, the Piles having completely disappeared. I am a great believer in Doan s Ointment, and consider it the best Pile remedy known. It cured me after other remedies had failed.” Eight years later Mrs Brown says:— “ I have had no return of my old complaint since Doan’s Ointment cured me about 11 years ago.” Doan’s Ointment isi sold by all chemists and storekeepers. Foster-M Clellan Co., Proprietors, 15 Hamilton street, Sydney. But, be sure you get DOAN’S. —Advt.

—Making a sound like hail pattering against a window pane, the noise of atoms recently was broadcast by radio. The sound produced was that of helium atoms leaving the radioactive metal uranium and bombarding a small piece of metal. A piece of uranium no larger than a sixpence was used, the atoms leaving it faster than the fire of a machine-gun. With iodised salt used in its manufacture, “Huia” takes a still further step ahead of other butters. —Advt.
