THE OCTAGON

10 THE EDITOR Sir, —The Corporation Reserve Committee has made a serious mistake in cutting down the large shrub between the Octagon pillar letter-box and the nearest convenience. This shrub practically ensured the privacy of the convenience, and the committee has shown a great lack of discrimination in permitting it to be cut down. It is to be hoped that this hedge will not be removed also, as in that case there would be no privacy.—I am, etc., Old Timer. March 31.
