BOXING.
PARKER DEFEATS THOMPSON. (Per United Press Association.) OAMARU, February 22. At Kurow yesterday Fred Parker (11.35) defeated “Tiger” Thompson (11.3) on points in a 10-round bout. Parker’s punch was the 'heavier throughout, and the issue was never in doubt. The fight was staged under the auspices of the Waimate Boxing Association.

(Received Feb. 23. at 0.5 a.m.) ' , At the Stadium, Billy M'Alister, 8.3, retained the bantam-weight title of Australia against Teddy Green, 8.0, last night. The latter was game, but outclassed, and the bout was stopped in the twelfth round.
