DISASTER IN GERMANY
FIREDAMP EXPLOSION, THIRTY-ONE MINERS KILLED. (United Press Association.) (By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright.) COLOGNE, February 22. (Received Feb. 22, at 9 p.m.) Thirty-one men were killed by a firedamp explosion in a reserve pit at Northberg, near Eschweiler. Fourteen others, of whom four are in a serious condition, were taken to hospital. Forty pit ponies were killed.
