PEACE IN INDUSTRY
CONFERENCES IN LONDON. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, February 19. (Received Feb. 20, at 5.5 p.m.) Mr Ramsay MacDonald, Mr Philip Snowden, and other members of the Cabinet met representatives of the National Confederation of Employers and discussed the possibility of taking action to maintain good relationships with a view to getting through the present depression without industrial conflicts. The employers stated that no words from the Government could deepen their impression of the gravity of the economic situation. The Government subsequently met representatives of the Trade Union Council.
