NORTH-EAST HARBOUR NEWS.
SANDERS CDP CREWS. On Wednesday night the Nor£h-East Harbour Boating Club tendered a complimentary social and danc.e to the visiting Sanders Cup crews. There was an attendance of over 100 couples. Amongst those present were Mr J. T. Paul (president of the Otago Yatch and Motor Boat Association) and the secretary (Mr .1. Anderson). The hall was decorated for the occasion in yachting style with the chib’s flags, while model yachts lined the walls. , TI7 On behalf of the club, Commodore W. H. Riddell extended a hearty welcome to the crews. During the evening Mr addressed the crews. Messrs Thomas Bragg (Southland), Ostler (Auckland), and C. Pettit (Otago) thanked the club for the entertainment. Messrs R. and 11. Hellyer acted as M.C. s, and the music was supplied by Pat Harbrow’s orchestra. MACANDREW BAY FLOWER SHOW. Arrangements arc well in hand for the autumn show to be held at Macandrew Bay on February 28. The date of the show was originally fixed for March 7, but was brought forward on account of the combi nod school children’s annual picnic being held on that date. EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND. The Macandrew Bay Presbyterian Church held a retiring collection on Sunday evening which resulted in £6 10s being forwarded to the general treasurer of the Presbyterian Church, Wellington, for the Earthquake Relief Fund.
