Send for “ INVENTOR’S GUIDE.” Post free.—Advt. ■ Workmen excavating for the foundation of a building in the small German city f Simpelveld, near Aachen, unearthed a Roman sarcophagus of slabs of sandstone, containing the skeleton of a young woman. The sarcophagus, one of the most beautiful yet found in that district, contained also three gold rings, an earring with an enamel pendant, a silver mirror, parts of a necklace, and horn bracelet.
