A. M'Lellan has him doing good work, and will start him at the Gore Racing Club’s meeting, and at Invercargill next month. Many southern sportsmen are waiting to see if there is any justification for the statement that War Paint is h e tt e r than her older sister. Seaworthy. The Man o’ War three-year-old is engaged at the Gore Racing Club’s meeting. Kolmar has not been out of a place in any of his engagements this season, and at the Auckland Cup meeting he won two races and finished, second in another, registering 4.35 in the last-mentioned. On Saturday he must hold a chance from 4.38 in the February Handicap. Lady Zephyr has built up a lot, and now carries a much more solid appearance. The Dunedin-owned mare was confidently supported in her winning effort at W yndham on New Year’s Day. and it is qune apparent that she has not yet revealed he if b Lhidbergh could be depended on to hit his hopples quickly at the start of the Otahubu Handicap the public would no doubt make him a sound favourite.
