<e»END OF FIVE HOURS’ HUNT. The hunt appears to have been one of the most prolonged which has ever occurred. The hind was hunted without respite from near Quantock Farm to Staple Plain. Near the sea she was turned, then raced back the entire length of the Quantock Hills to Aisholt. then pursued nearly to Spaxtou, where she turned and fled back through Kingston to Staplegrove. She was chased without respite a total distance of 24 miles, one of the longest runs on record.
