MURDER IN LONDON
JACK THE RIPPER TYPE. ... 3 WOMAN’S MUTILATED BODY. (United Prew Association.) ' (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, January 23. A Jack the Ripper type of murder was discovered in London to-day. The victim was an unidentified woman of about 30, who was found in the Blackheath area used as a football ground. The body was unclothed, and bore many stabbing wounds. The body was mutilated as the Ripper mutilated,, and a deep red mark round the neck suggested strangling, while a part of the body appeared to have been slashed with a razor. The woman’s left hand tightly clenched a shoe, and the other shoe was found 15 yards away. The police believe that the body was carried to Blackhcath in a motor car.
