CALCUTTA, January 28. • A baud of masked and armed young Indians attacked a train in Eastern Bengal and seized the mail bags. The guard seized one intruder, who struck him violently on the mouth, breaking his teeth. The intruder fired a revolver, but the bullet missed its mark. The passengers, hearing the revolver shot, pulled the communication cord, but by the time the train had stopped the whole gang had jumped into the dense jungle and disappeared with the mail bags.
