ISAAC PARFIT, of Naseby, Miner, hereby applies for a COAL LEASE in respect to the following land:— All that parcel of land situate in the Provincial District of Otago, containing 6 acres 1 rood 1 pole, the said land being more particularly described at the end of this application and delineated upon the plan drawn hereon, and being the same land previously held under Coal. Lease Number 4625, dated 12th day of April, 1926, in the names of Isaac Parfit and John Marelin. Area applied for : 6 acres 1 rood 1 perch. The said land is unalienated Crown Lands. Mark on Pegs: X. Date of marking out: 1/1/1931, at 7 a.m. Has the applicant any interest in any other Coal Lease or Coal Prospecting License : No. If the area applied for adjoins an area held under a Coal Lease or Coal Prospecting License, give the name of the lessee or licensee, together with the registered number and date of such lease or license ; No. State the approximate quantity of coal which may be reasonably extracted from the area in respect of which a lease is applied for : Unlimited. State the estimated cost of developing the area, including the necessary plant, equipment, and buildings required for such purpose : £2OO already spent in plant and road. State whether or not sufficient finance has been arranged to develop the area as a coal mine, together with the required plant,- equipment, and buildings: No further finance required.
