A notice readable at a distance of fifteen feet must be placed in a conspicuous position behind the counter, one on every dispenser or bottle used, one on every counter, one on every table as well as one on the walls of every room in which drinks are served. These notices must give true and honest statements of all adulterations contained in the beverages sold, intended to be sold, or kept for sale. PURE FRUIT CORD lALS OR SYRUPS. 1 Pure fruit juice syrups, cordials, or beverages which are free from chemical artificial preservatives, free from added acids or other adulterations, do not require any notices. 2. Pure fruit juice cordials, syrups, or beverages containing artificial chemical injurious preservatives such as sulphur dioxide, salicylic acid, or Benzoate of Soda must have these adulterations declared on all the notices. 3. Pure fruit juice cordials, syrups, or beverages containing any artificial colouring cannot be sold, as it is against the regulations, and they are prohibited. 4. Flavoured cordials, syrups, or beverages which contain pure fruit extracts and have no chemical imitation or synthetic essences and contain no chemical artificial colours and no chemical artificial preservatives only require the word “ Flavoured” on the notices. 5. Flavoured cordials, syrups, and beverages containing artificial, chemical injurious preservatives such as salicylic arid, sulphur dioxide, or Benzoate of Soda must have the word “ Flavoured ” as well as the preservatives declared on all the notices. 6. Flavoured cox-dials, syrups, and beverages containing artificial chemical colouring matter must have the word “ Flavoured ” as well as the .colouring adulterations declared on all tljc notices. 7. Flavoured cordials, syrups, and beverages containing both artificial chemical colouring matter and artificial chemical preservatives must have the word “ Flavoured ” as well as both the artificial chemical colouring and the artificial chemical preservatives declared on all the notices. IMITATION CORDI ALS OR SYRUPS. <r 8. Cordials aud syrups which contain the slightest amount of artificial, chemical, synthetic, or imitation essences, artificial chemical preservatives, artificial chemical colourings must have the word imitation, artificial, or chemical on all the notices. 9. Imitation, artificial, chemical, or synthetic beverages cannot be sold under a fruit beverage name.
