To two good cups flour add i scant cup shortening, \ teaspoon salt, and z small level teaspoonfuls of Edmonds Baking Powder. Rub the shortening into the flour etc. and mix with just enough cold water to bind. Roll about \ inch thick and place over cherries which should have been already packed into a shallow Pyrex dish and well sprinkled with sugar n and about two tablespoonsful of water.
