CORPORATION PICNIC COMMITTEE.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the corporation and drainage employees’ picnic was held in the Y.M.C.A. on Thursday night, Mr S. Hawes presiding. The annual report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The question of holding the annual picnic was discussed, and as the City Council had decided not to grant a paid half day for the picnic this year the committee did not come to any finality on the matter, and adjourned until February 2. A sub-committee was appointed to make inquiries regarding fares, transportation, and grounds. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr S. Hawes; vicepresidents, Messrs W. Nelson and J. Halford; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. P. Rees; assistant secretary, Mr N, A. Weir; auditors, Messrs R. Harrison and H. Cumberbeach; trustees Messrs H. Paterson and J. Halford; committee — Messrs G. Jenkins, A. Scott, W. Nelson, W. Sabiton, C. M'Laren, W. Dunn, H. Paterson, J. M'Alan, H. Cumberbeach, R. Harrison, J. Sira, W. Coulter, J. M'Gregor, J, Moran, T. Greig, A. Cameron, J. Gilmour, J. Halford, F. Pratt, J. Ellis, W. Pearce, and W. Elliott.
