UNIVERSITY ENTRANCESCHOLARSHIPS. In regard to the list of names for New Zealand University entrance scholarships published on Thursday morning it may he explained that 10 junior University scholarships were awarded, including all the names from M. K. Joseph (second on list to F. J. Petriccvich, and excepting E. P. Haslam, who was above the age for the junior University scholarship and was awarded a University National Scholarship. University National Scholarships were also awarded to all the candidates named in the list from G. F. Paterson to D. hi. Davin (inclusive). Bavin's scholarship was awarded, not on the aggregate marks, but for excellence in certain subjecte.
