MR THOMAS RUNDLE.

The death occurred at Greymouth on Saturday of Mr Thomas Rundle, aged 95 years. He was a native of Cornwall, and went to Australia in 1861 later coming to New Zealand and taking part in the gold rushes in Otago. He then went to the West Coast, and was gold mining at No Town, eventually opening a store there. He is survived by three sons and two daughters.

MR W. r'. S. HICKSON. (Peb United Pkesb Association.) WELLINGTON, December 1. The death of Mr W. R. S. (Stan) Hickson occurred suddenly yesterday. Having been associated with the A.M.P. Society for 38 years and a prominent player in his day on the cricket and hockoy fields, Mr Hickson was wellknown by people in many walks of life and was highly respected. He was born 53 years ago in Greymouth, where his father was manager of the National Bank. Starting with the A.M.P. Society as a cadet, he rose to the position of accountant. As a cricketer he gained Wellington representative honours. His first representative match was against Trott’s Australian Eleven in 1896, and another overseas team which he played against was Wynyard’s M.C.C. team, which visited Wellington in 1900-7. His brother Claude was a New Zealand representative at hockey, Mr Hickson is survived by a widow and three children—two girls and a hoy.
