ANOTHER WIN FOR CARNERA.

HUGE ATTENDANCE AT BOUT,

(United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, November 30. Camera gained a points decision over Paulino in a ten-rounds bout at Barcelona.

It is officially announced that the attendance at the fight was 91,000, a European record. Though each delivered heaVy blows in order to break his opponent’s defence, the contest soon degenerated into a hugging match until the referee interfered. Nevertheless, the crowd applauded every round, admiring Paulino s pluck against his bigger, younger, and more skilful ■ adversary. In the first round Paulino, with three heavjr blows, sent the Basque sprawling, but in the following rounds Camera easily outboxed his crude, lunging opponent. The Italian’s footwork was masterly, and Paulino, who developed wrestling tactics in the' latter part of the fight, appeared badly mauled, though the punishment he absorbed indicated that he was made of iron. Camera weighed I9st 41b, and Paulino 14st 111 b. Those present represented GO per cent, oi Barcelona’s available . population. Mounted guardsmen discouraged gate crashers, and armed footguarda prevented a stampede when the crowd attempted to rush the ring after the verdict had been given for Camera. It is believed that the receipts of the Carnera-Paulino fight will exceed £40,000, of which the contestants will divide £20.000. Jeff Dickson, the promoter, is likely to make a profit of £IO,OOO. Boxing was practically unknown in Spain a few years ago, and it is remarkable that it should be the first country in Europe to provide such a huge crowd. JUBILIATION IN ITALY. ROME, November 30.
