A special, meeting of the Executive, Grounds and Finance Committees of the .Otago A. and. P. Society, was held yesterday afternoon, and. was attended by Messrs James Begg (president) in the chair, George Black, H. Turner, E. C. Hazlett. and H. C. Campbell. The president, explained that the meeting had been, called, to deal with several matters held over from the. last monthly meeting. It was decided to have a poster competition in connection with the next Winter Show and a special committee consisting ?r “ es ®3r ß George Black, H. Turner and H. C. Campbell was appointed to make inquiries and to report at the next monthly, meeting. The question of repairs to the dwelling house at Tahuna Park was left to the executive to confer with Messrs G, Simpson and Co. in regard to the offer which that, company had submitted. It pointed out how essential it was to have the work executed as early as possible, and. the house occupied. Messrs P.- N. Suckling and Co.’s account for. £173 12s ‘6d for covering roof of Brydon Hal] was referred to Messrs G. Simpson and )Do. for approval, paymept to be made immediately, on receipt of their certificate. a

Messrs James Begg, E. C. Hazlett and H. Turner were appointed a committee to meet representatives ! f rom the Otago Motor Club to consider a proposal to pro. vide more. conveniences at Tahuna Park fot. those using the park as a camping area.

The appointment of Mr James Sutton as caretaker was , confirmed oh the conditions contained in the society’s letter to him of October 9. The secretary , was authorised. to pay judge’s travelling expenses, prize money and other urgent accounts.
