FAREWELL CONCERT.

On December 8, in the Town Hall Concert Chamber, a farewell will be given to Miss Meda Paine, who will leave tor • London .on December 23. Several wellknown performers will contribute to the first part of the programme. These will include Misses Mary Frazer, Mary Mirim, Ngaio Garland, Messrs Alfred Walmsley, William Ruffell, and Charles A. Martin, (accompanist). In the second part the ladies’ choir will present lor the first time in New Zealand “The ■; Siege of the Alhambra,” a cantata for chorus of women’s voices, with solos for soprano,.tenor, and baritone. These will he taken by Mrs Eric Ewart and Messrs Alfred Walmsley and William Ruffell Miss Meda Paine will conduct, and the choir win have the assistance of Mr Martin at the piano*
