SIR JOSEPH BYRNE APPOINTED. (British Official Wireless.) (United Press Association.) . (By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) RUGBY, October 2. The King has approved of the appointment of ; Brigadier-general Sir Joseph Byrne (Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Sierra Leone) to 'be Governor and Comraander-in-Chief of the colony and protectorate of Kenya, in succession to Lieutenant-colonel Sir Edward Grigg, whose term of office has now expired. Sir Joseph Byrne will not assume office until early in 1031.
