It seems to me . that the; City Council, in all its departments,-. follow the same practice of 1 Jettmg_ their head officers do what they like: Why should one man be allowed to cut down and clear away our beautiful bash becauee he himself may not like New Zealand ■ trees, •or prefers > exotic •■trees. . I would like to-remind the Re- ; serves Committee that this Is New Zea-‘ land and not England, and where-frees Mve eot to be cuf down and others -planted, let ns, plant .native: trees.—l ara, ■ ® tK » v , ■ New Zealand. .
