WIRELESS IN TONGA
NEW STATION OPENED. A PICTURESQUE CEREMONY (By Radio.) NIUAFOOU, October 1. (Received Oct. 2, at 9 p.m.) - The Tongau Government’s new wireless station at Niuafoou was opened on Monday. The opening ceremony was carried out in true native style. The dress of the natives was most picturesque, embracing all the colours of the rainbow. The singing was most harmonious, and the rhythmic dancing was a beautiful sight. This is the first press message sent by the Tongan Government’s radio at Niuafoou Island. I
