HOLIDAY BEAUTY HINTS.
Wear a transparent straw hat which admits the light and fresh air to the scalp, but protects the hair from being bleached by strong sunshine. Massage a non-greasy hair lotion into the scalp to counteract dryness. ' On long train journeys take a small bottle of skin tonic and several wads of cotton wool to cleanse the skin, and an astringent lotibn to close the pores afterwards against dust. Use a protective cream or oil before going out into strong sunshine, but give the skin a rest from overmuch powder, allowing the pores to breathe in the fresh air.
