THE FINANCIAL PROGRAMME. ___ * DRASTIC ECONOMIES AIMED AT. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) BERLIN, September 80. If the Government’s financial programme becomes law the salaries of President Hindenburg, all the members of the Cabinet, and of the Reichstag, and of the Federal Diets will be reduced by one-fifth, while those of the State officials and bankers will be cut 6 per cent, if the salaries exceed £75 annually. The Budget is expected to show a deficit of £37,000,000 to £45,000.000, hence the drastic economies. The income tax will be increased.
