LIVING ON A SHILLING A DAY.
w • » <-» mrm n Vft A • 10- THE EDITOR. Sir, —In a recent issue of your paper I noticed an account of an address by Professor Strong, in the course of which she mentioned that the students at Stud- . holme Souse lived on a shilling a day. Now, in the present time of stress, would it not be of inestimable benefit to struggling mothers and managers of charitable institutions to know how this is done. If Professor Strong would give us? the bill of fare for a week, and probable cost of provisions, many of your readers would be deeply grateful.—l am, etc., Amateur.
