I Vice-Regal. , Official advice has been received (Bays a Prees Association telegram), that the j Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe will be visiting Blenlieim from October 30 to ■November 4, during which time they will attend,, the A. and P, Show. j Mr G. M. Thomson, M.L.C.-left yesterday for Wellington. . Dr E. S. Fossey, who haß been spending a few days in Dunedin, returned to Amberley (North Canterbury) yesterday morning. Mr E. C. Hazlett left on a visit to Melbourne by the Maheno, which sailed from xHuti on Monday morning. Mr G. W. Massingham, organising secretary for the Associated Chambers of Commerce, left by the express yesterday' for Wellington. Yesterday the staff of the Caverehaui School gathered to bid farewell to Mibs Nelson, who is leaving to take up-the position of infant mistress at Concord. The head master (Mr Burns), in asking Miss Nelson- to accept a morocco handbag, a hand mirror, and xylonite brush and comb, as a token of the esteem in which she waa held by the staff, referred to her sterling worth as a teacher and in the field of f sport, where her work with the basket ball girls had been greatly appreciated. Miss Nelson suitably responded, mentioning some of the happy times she had enjoyed. Earlier in the day tributes to Miss Nelson's popularity were paid by the children of her class and by the sports girls.
