(Received Sept. 30, at 5.5 p.m.) Stocks broke throughout the list up to six points and values dropped millions of dollars. The heaviest selling occurred near the close, when many new low levels were touched after attempts to ral y-the market had failed. Rails crumpled and coppers dropped, while practically all important oils made low levels for the year.
