LADIES’ BOWLING ASSOCIATION.
FIFTH ANNUAL MEETING. The fifth annual meeting of the Dunedin Ladies Bowling Association was held last night, Mrs J. Wallace presidin^rii? ver a attendance of delegates. The annual report and balance sliest were adopted, the chairwoman paying a tribute to the conscientious work performed by the secretary (Mrs j. Cooke) in preparing them. The following office-bearers were elected! President, Mr G, Adess; vicepresident, Mrs J, J. Read;, secretary, Mrs Cooke, treasurer, Mrs W. Cole; executive committee—Mesdames R. B Johnstone, H. Kane, F. S. Wright E* Mullinger, F. Ponsford. C. SumtnerclL L. Stubbs, A. Morrison, S. Angel! C Braithwaite, W. Burnside, J. J. Read A. Gillies, W. Cole, A. Melville, W. T. Easton; supervisor, Mr E. Falconer. It was decided that in future tournaments four games of 21 heads each shall be played daily in the singles competition, three games of 18 heads in the pairs, and two of 21 heads in the rinks. It was agreed that country clubs affiliated to the association be allowed at least one delegate on the association irrespective of membership. , • It was decided that interclub matches be played on the Tuesday of each week, and ,ihat during the forthcoming season all matches against Port Chalmers Club be played on that club’s green.
