OTAGO PIPERS’ CLUB.

MONTHLY SOCIAL MEETING. The monthly social meeting of the Otago Pipers’ Club which was held in the Y.M.C.A. Assembly Hall on Saturday evening was highly successful. The vice-president (Mr K. Cameron) presided, about 50 members and friends being present. Apologies for absence were received from Mr Roderick MacKenzie (honorary president) and Mr .Alexander Mac Kay (president), the latter being indisposed. An - excellent programme of songs, pianoforte solos, and bagpipe selections was greatly appreciated, the performers for the evening being Messrs James Paterson, Donald French, Norman Bauchop, Donald M‘Arthur (Port Chalmers) , Alexander Ross, George Yardley, and K.. Cameron. Mr Bauchop played the accompaniments. The following new members were enrolled: —Messrs John Dow, Malcolm M‘Leod, Duncan M’Rae, and Ronald M'Donald. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to the performers.
