LAWYER’S WALLET SENT . BACK,

A barrister whose wallet, containing £53 and important papers, was stolen at Epsom on Derby Day. England, afterwards received the wallet with the contents intact by registered post. The parcel bore a London postmark. The following note was. enclosed: —“As it is a superstition among thieves that to rob a lawyer is unlucky, my gang is returning your belongings. Kedp your eyes open in future.” The note was signed “Leader.of Gang.”
