RETURNED SOLDIERS’ CHOIR.

_ The Returned Soldiers’ Choir will shortly present a programme, inclndfog selected numbers, which comprise the beautiful cantata, «King Olaf’s Christmas, the “Martyrs of the Arena;” chorus of priests from the “ Magic Flute,” an old folk song of the Netherlands, the ever-welcome English song; “Drink to Me Only,” the delightfully piquant “In this Hour,” the stirring chanty “A Wet Sheet and a Flowing. SeaiV and a humorous number, “ AkuS under.” The choir will have the assist-, ance of Miss Mary Pratt,, the delightful contralto, who so rapidly found a way to the hearts of the Dunedin musical' public. -Miss'Pratt will contribute two' songs, “ Have You News of My Bov Jack? ” and "Ye Powers 1 that ’ DwclL” Miss Eva Judd will make a.welcome re* : - appearance at the" soldiers’ concert, giv-. ing two violin solos. Messrs John Leech and W. N. Satterthwaite will sing a duet, and the choir soloists are Messrs Fred Haig, Harry Guyton, George Crawford, and P. S. Anderson, The concert will he directed by Mr John Leech, witli Mr Charles A. Martin as pianist.
