The estimated cost ot the additions and remodelling is approximately £14,000, and when completed the building will add greatly to the appearance of the business section of Gore. Our Invercargill Store is also in the hands OX the builders, who are adding a second storey along Kelvin Street. It is too early yet to give further particjlars, but the fact that both Stores are being modelled upon the most modern departmental stores in England and America is sufficient to indicate that they will represent a marked advance on any of the present retail premises in the South.
