COAL DISPUTE ENDED
MINERS- TO RESUME WO^K. AGREEMENT WITH pWNERS. (United Press Associate n.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) i NEWCASTLE, May 22. (Received May 22, at &30 p.m.) A complete agreement for the resumption of work at the northern coal mines has been reached between the owners and the miners’ representatives, and .work will be' commenced in all idle mines next Wednesday. The question of withdrawing free -labour from the Rothbury and the Northumberland mines, as well as the remission of fines and the release of imprisoned - miners, will be discussed with the Premier to-morrow, but it' is not anticipated that any hitch will occur,' The terms of the settlement with,the miners have not been announced, but it is known that the miners have accepted a wage cut and have agreed to eliminate petty stoppages. • . . ‘
