ANOTHER TRIAL FLIGHT. NEW ENGINES TO BE TESTED. (British Official Wireless.) / (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) RUGBY, May 21. The Air Ministry’s airship lUOO was taken from her shed at Cardington before dawn to-day, and an hour 'and a-half later she was safely locked home to the mooring mast. Major Scott was in charge of the operation, which was performed in favourable weather, a light northerly registering only four or five miles an hour. RIOO left this evening for her trial flight, during which tests will be made of the new engines that have been fitted. The flight will probably last 12 or 14 hours. The passengers include the Under-secretary for Air (Mr Montague). If the tests are satisfactory the vessel will be ready for her flight to Canada, the exact date .of her departure being determined by’ the weather conditions. The outlook; at present over the Atlantic is not regarded as favourable.
