ARRANGEMENTS FOR TRIAL MATCHES. (Peb Ignited Peess Association.) AUCKLAND, May 9. The Council of the New Zealand Rugbv League last evening! by. ballot appointed Messrs J, K. Worrall (Canterbury) E Watson (Otago), and L. Hunter (West Coast) the selectors of the South Island team to meet the North at Auckland on June 14. They are to "meet at Christchurch 'n May 24, arrange for the Possibles v. Probables match on May 31, and select a team, that evening. The North Island selector is to visit Wellington # to see the teams play on May The final selection of a New Zealanc team to tour Australia is tp be made by committee of five, including the councilofficial selector, two other members, and one selector each, representing the Norlland South Islands. • ' ..Nominations are being invited from southern leagues for manager of thv South'lsland team, and managers for tin Australian trip.
