POPULATION OF DOMINION.
A STEADY INCREASE. (Peb United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, May 8. During the quarter ended March 31; 1930, the population of New Zealand, with dependencies and. mandated territory, showed an increase of 3018, com-’ pared with an increase of 3702 during the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The estimated population is now 1,548,654, consisting of 791,155 males and 757,499 females. The estimated population of New Zealand proper, excluding Maoris, is 1,421,597,' and the estimated Maori population is 67,015.
