DEMAND FOR LAND.
SECTIONS ON-HAURAKI PLAINS. (Pee United Pbess Association.) THAMES, May 8. Over 200 applications for 22 sections in the Kerepehi Block, Hanraki Plains, have faced the Land Board for two days, men and women coming long distances in an endeavour to obtain land. The board sat for two days .examining the applicants. The ballot was 'held last evening and resulted as follows: Section 18 (84 applicants), Mrs M. Hill. Section 20 (72 applicants), C. W. Winder.
