(Received May 7, at 8 p.m.) - Fires continue to rage widely in New Jersey, where there is still no sign of ram. Military forces are fighting the flames, and the Red Cross is giving aid to, thousands of homeless victims. There are also dangerous fires in the vicinity of Portland, Maine, where a force of fire fighters is attempting to save the city’s power houses from fire. Several towns there have been evacuated.
