BRITISH BY-ELECTION
THE FULHAM CONTEST. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, May 6. (Received May 7, at 0.15-a.m.) The first election fought on the issue of Empire Freetrade will end tb-day with the polling at Fulham. The result is expected late to-night. The Conservative candidate (Sir Cyri! Cobb) has made a determined effort to gain the seat, which he held through four general elections until beaten by a Labourite in a three-cornered contest last year.
