(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.)* LONDON, May 5. “Glimpses of the Great" is the title of a book published to-day by Sylvester Tlereck, who interviewed 'the world’s great men to sea how they look at life. The following are extracts:— ,6. B. Shaw : “ 1 would prohibit poverty, putting to death everyone earning less than £6OO a year or asking fop more. Viereck asked Mr Shaw whether he would like to be rejuvenated. Mr Shaw replied • “,I> anything, I want to be sensilised, but ask me in 30 or 40 years’ time.” The ex-Kaiser; “I tried to rule an Empire for the greater glory of God, 'and fop the greater glory of God 1 try to make .Doom - more beantifuL 'God wanted me to rule for, 30 years as an emperor. ■ He ■then discarded me and allowed me to be dethroned, perhaps to try*whether or not it would shake my faith. It isn’t shaken. His will be done.”
