It does not seem possible that a mau could emulate Robinson' Crusoe in the modern world of to-day. Yet tins hns been done by Mr Richard Halliburton, the author and traveller, who sat out some time ago to become Robinson the Second. Mr Halliburton a month in a cave on Tobago Island. He dressed as the original Crusoe did, and for his companions he kept a parrot, a dog, and a goat. Ho even found a native whom he named " Man Toosdny,'' because it happened to be Tuesday when they met. Mr Halliburton's days were spent in making a canoe out of a hollowed tree trunk, in shooting and fishing, and in planning his escape, which he had no desire to make.
