(From Our Own Correspondent.) MILTON, May 5. PERSONAL. Mr D. Campbell, wild? has been manager of Mr W. T. Bowron’s “ Cook Rock” estate, Glenledi district, during the past six years, left on Saturday morning for the South Canterbury district. The property has now been taken over by Mr G. W. Staniland, of Christchurch. At the installation ceremony of Tokomalriro Lodge, 1.0.0. F., on Saturday evening, Bro. W. Fagg was presented by the Grand Sire of Australasia with a Past Grand’s collar, in recognition of his faithful service-’to the lodge since its inceptipn. Framed past grand certificates were also presented to Bros. K. Clark and Charles Clarke. SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTION. Acting upon legal advice, a . Milton resident has lodged a protest'with the Otago Education Board against the legality of the election of the school committee for the Tokomairiro District High, School at the householders’ recent annual meeting. The grounds of complaint are that the meeting was advertised twice by the Education Board to be held at the school, whereas someone altered the venue to the Coronation Hall, as in former years. Some householders, it is claimed, attended at the school, and were , thus debarred from participating In the election. , ODD F ELLOWSHIP. A special meeting .of members of Tokomairiro -Lodge, 1.0.0. F., was held on Saturday evening in the lodge room for the installation of officers for the ensuing year. There were also -present a number of of Clutha, Warepa, and Dunedin Lodges. The installation ceremony was conducted by the Grand Sire of Australasia (Bro. Ritchie), and his suite, comprising the Grand Secretary, Bro. Crookc; P.D.D.G.M.. Bro. W. Rendal; P.G. Bro. The sacred cantata Stainer’s “ Crucifixion,” was presented at last night’s service at the Toko Presbyterian Church by an augmented choir of 45 voices, under the conductorship of Mr J. Buchan, with Mrs K. Every presiding at the organ. The principal solos were sung by three Dunedin vocalists—Messrs J. C. Clarke, H. Harvey, and H. Johnstone. There was a Large congregation, and the special offertory was in aid of the choir funds.

The Presbyterian Church choir will visit the railwayman's camp at Crichton to-morrow evening, when a concert programme will be submitted.
