LORD HAREWOOD’S WILL.
ESTATE OF OVER £386,000. The Right Hon. Henry .Ulick, fifth Earl of Harewood, left unsettled property ot the gross value of £286,000, with net personality of £293,288. , To his-widow he left £IO,OOO, his leasehold house 13, Upper Belgrave street, and the effects there, and his horses, carriages, and motors. He also directs that his racehorses, brood mares, yearlings, and foals should be sold and the proceeds given to her. _ . Testator gave the effects at Harewood not otherwise bequeathed and all his shares and debentures iu the Horelles Trust, Limited, to the present earl. He left Longstock Estate in Hampshire to his second son, the Hon, Edward Ccpil Lascelles, absolutely, the proceeds of his insurance policies upon trust for him and his wife and issue, and his sugar plantations and other property in Barbadoes upon trust for him and his heirs in tail male, whom failing to Gerald David, second son of Princess Mary, and his heirs in tail. He gave £20,000 to his daughter, Viscountess Boyne, and the residue of his property, after bequests to servants, to the Hon. Edward Cecil Lascelles absolutely. A commentator in the Dfitly Telegraph says that the fortune of £386,000, the bulk of which passes to the late earl’s son, the present peer, represents but a portion of the wealth of Princess Mary’s husband, who has for long been, a far richer man than his father ever was. There are many stories of how Lord Lascelles, as he then was, and as it is difficult not still to regard him, came to inherit the • £2,500,000 fortune of his uncle, the eccentric Lord Clanricarde.
