Dunedin City Corporation. Urgent Message to Electricity Consumers. Unless there is a complete change of weather the present load will empty the dam at Waipori in less than three weeks. This would leave thousands of consumers entirely without supply, and many factories would have to close or work short time. You are therefore urged to Exercise Rigid Economy in the use of all your {electrical Appliances, * whether for Light, Heat, or Power* during the present emergency, which can be overcome only by heavy and prolonged rains, but can be lessened by reducing the load and making the water last longer.
