A RESIGNATION ANNOUNCED. SIR JOHN FERGUSON. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, February 27. (Received Feb. 28, at 10 p.m.) Sir John Ferguson, whoso vintory at Twickenham by-election as an Empire Crusader, was acclaimed ns a Crusade triumph, has now resigned from the United Empire Party, and is accused of wobbling by Lord Rothermcre, who lias challenged him to resign and contest the seat against an Empire Party candidate. Sir John Ferguson lias replied, stating that he does not see the necessity for resigning as the position in the constituency has not changed since the election. THE SATURDAY' REVIEW. DECISION TO SUPPORT PARTY. RESIGNATION OF STAFF. LONDON, February 27. (Received Feb. 28, at 11 p.m.) Mr Gerald Barry, editor of the Saturday Review, and the whole editorial staff and contributors, resigned following the directors’ decision to support the United Empire Party. The first intimation Mr Barry received was through the headlines in the Beaverbrook newspapers. Last week’s issue of the Saturday Review strongly criticised Lord Beaverhrook’s policy.
